Family Stream Visas

Family Stream visas are for those applications that have a familial relationship with an Australian Citizen, permanent resident or ENZ. There is no right for family members of Australians to migrate to Australia; instead they must go through the complex eligibility criteria set out in the visa regulations.

Child Visas

• 101 & 802 Child visa. This visa is for the adopted, biological and (sometimes) step child of an Australian Citizen, permanent resident or ENZ.
• 837 & 117 Orphan Relative. This visa is for relatives of an Australian Citizen, permanent resident or ENZ and the applicant is under 18 years of age, their parents are deceased or permanently incapacitated or their whereabouts is unknown.
• 102 Adoption. This visa is for the adopted child of a Australian Citizen, permanent resident or ENZ. This visa is only for those who apply whilst outside of Australia at the time of application.
• 445 Dependent Child visa. This is for the child of a provisional partner visa holder or the holder of a subclass 445 visa.
